Add this to my list of future projects

Isn't this cool? This is a lampshade by Barbara Vos--I saw it on decor8. Wouldn't this be cute hanging over a kitchen table, or in the corner of the study? I think I even have most of the buttons for it (eek).
Actually, it's a sweet way to store your buttons--you know the extras that you get when you buy a sweater or coat. And then, if something bad happens and you lose a button, you can just sneak up on your lamp with a pair of scissors, and *snip!* swap out your new coat
button with a replacement one.
It's like the circle of life. But inside your lamp.

Here's the too-big shirt photo

...in all its glory. Should I still even bother to send out the email re: customization? Would anyone look at this (uh, with me in it) and say 'sign me up fer that'?

In related news--turns out the computer f.u. was just because I needed to reconfig the IP address. No biggie.

My Fantasy House

So either my home computer or my ISP has given me the big F.U.--for some reason I haven't been able to get online the last few days. And if I can't get online, then I can't post photos of my latest creations! So I'll post someone else's pictures instead. These are all via decor8.

I love this living room with all my heart! And it's in the same color scheme as my current one, even...which means someone should just give this to me.

This is usually not the style that I would like, but something about this kitchen appeals to me. Although--does it look like a display from Anthropologie? Am I just being a closet shopper again?

Not as much color as I'd usually do, but it makes the other colors stand out more. Plus white floors always look clean in photos. (I think if I had one in real life, it would look, well, let's say not so much). So--I'd like to have white floors in one room of my house + a housecleaner (for all rooms, natch).

This photo to me is just the bomb-diddley. I love the lamp, I even really love that grey color, it looks very chic. Somebody needs to come over and redecorate my house! I want it to look like this...

Short Attention Span Theatre

I just saw these interesting collages by Amy Ross--tiny little mushroom people!

I really like this laptop bag by Angela Adams, but don't know that I want to pay $150 for it. Maybe I could find it on eBay for less...

What do you think about this one, made by Lexie Barnes? I like the blue, but I'm worried it will look too much like a diaper bag.

Etsy can't be that tough...can it?

Recently on the How About Orange blog (which I love because 1, it mentions orange, and 2, that will piss J and others off...)--the gal (sorry should have at least researched her name) mentioned making some bookmarks using vintage fabrics and putting them up on Etsy (hey, how many parenthetical remarks can I cram into this sentence? looks like...three!). Which got me thinking...this can't be that hard to do, right? Wouldn't that be a nice way to make a little extra cash? Hmmm....

I am kind of thinking about selling my feather boots on Etsy. I like them, but I don't wear them that often, an
d I think someone else might wear them more. Plus, they are kinda cool (I think), so maybe someone would actually pay $$ for them. What do you think? Here's a not-so-great photo of them. (the camera is still a problem) FYI they are on my new bedspread on the right. I'm totally digging the bedspread, although it goes with nothing in my bedroom. But apparently it does go with the box that holds my printer (in photo on left). Because lord knows it would be great if my bedroom looked more like my office...

The Hideous Before-math

Just so's you know how far I've come, here's that same armoire in its original fugly state and completely surrounded by crap. (this, btw, is the first thing you see in my house if you come in and immediately go to the left, so it's nice that it's incrementally more presentable)...

Next up--selling a bunch of crap on cl.

The armoire! Eet ees done!

The little stripes took a while to paint. But I like it--and I can paint it over with different color stripes as I change my decor.
